Unlike other regions, the Nothing Headphone (a) launched in China with only white, black, and pink, skipping the yellow entirely. Kind of interesting, considering the brand’s “roots” are in China but its focus has largely been overseas.
About a month after launch, Nothing announced a collaboration with a rising Chinese streetwear brand, Monday Sleeping Club. They released a special gift box edition featuring the yellow Headphone (a)—so I didn’t hesitate to pick one up.

Let’s take a look at what’s inside the box.

Inside, you get the headphones themselves along with some exclusive collab accessories. I’m sure most of you have already seen the headphones, so I’ll focus on the extras—especially these two adorable ear covers (one shaped like a fried egg and the other like a soft pillow — both feel squishy and cozy).

Once you put them on, the whole thing gives off a super relaxed, “lazy” vibe—which I think fits the brand perfectly.

And here’s how they look when worn. I’ll borrow an official shot from Nothing for this part.

I have to say, Nothing is still a super niche brand here in China. With the intense competition among local brands, products that focus more on personality than pure value for money don’t really have it easy. A few years ago, getting a Nothing product usually meant relying on overseas resellers.
Even so, Nothing has managed to carve out its own small space here—and even released a local exclusive like this. That honestly makes it pretty exciting for me. I’m really happy to be able to get a China-exclusive Nothing product locally.
What do you guys think about this collab version of the Nothing Headphone (a)? Would you choose this over the standard version?
