Nothing OS 4.1 is now rolling out to Phone (3), bringing a new set of features and improvements across the experience.
🗣️ Introducing Essential Voice:
Essential Voice assists you with cleaning up your voice notes and translating languages live in the moment. This is a huge step forward in the Essential category so make sure to check out its own post here.
🕐 New Lock Screen Clock:
We are introducing a lock screen clock that some of you may find familiar. With NOS 4.1, devices from Phone (2) onwards will now have the option to use the lock screen clock face found in Phone (3a) Community Edition. This was designed by the Nothing Community’s very own @jadzok. This clock face uses an entirely original typeface, created to emphasise how intentional checking the time can be on a Nothing device.
🔴 Improved Live Update Integration:
Live Updates now work across the device including the lock screen, notification panel, and Glyph Interface, tracking real-time progress from apps, like Google Maps, just at a glance.
🔔 Cleaner Essential Notifications:
Essential Notifications UI is cleaner with new descriptions to streamline the overall experience. They even become more personal by recommending notifications to be added when you interact with them frequently.
🔒 Stability and Security:
Nothing OS 4.1 carries the April 2026 security patch along with improvements to audio call quality when connected with Nothing audio devices as well as enhanced video call stability to smooth out the experience with third-party apps.
Availability:
Nothing OS 4.1 is available now for Phone (3), rolling out later this month for Phone (3a) Series, Phone (2a) Series, Phone (2), CMF Phone 1, and CMF Phone 2 Pro, and coming to Phone (3a) Lite early next month.
Some Nothing OS 4.1 features currently available on Phone (4a) Series and Phone (3) are not yet included in this release for other devices. We’re continuing to gather feedback, fine-tune the experience, and prepare them for wider rollout in future updates.
