4a Pro finally arrived, fantastic device. Will make a separate post about the clever UX hiding all over this phone, but for now, I’m stuck with a problem I can’t seem to find the solution to.
I love having an animation on the AOD Glyph display. It makes the device feel alive; like it has a pulse.
Interestingly, however, if I place the phone down, the animation starts to seemingly bug out. After a few seconds, it will stutter, eventually stopping altogether. Periodically it will advance a frame or two, then remain stuck.
After messing with it for a while, I discovered that the only solution to keeping the animation going was to move the phone around. To pick it up, turn it around, or otherwise agitate it made the animation fluid. Placing it down again would invite the same freezing behavior outlined earlier.
I know there are motion-related preview settings for caller-ID and battery-status, but I have a hard time seeing how that would be related and I can’t seem to find any other settings that would affect this.
Anyone else experience this?
