Hi community!

I’m a new Nothing Phone (3) owner, but I’m running into some significant heating issues. It heats up badly during gaming sessions, but what concerns me more is that it also gets quite hot during normal daily use, like scrolling through apps.

For those who have had the phone for a while:

Did you experience high temps like this during the first few days of setup while the OS was indexing?

Is there a specific Nothing OS update that improved thermals for you?

Are there any settings (like RAM Boost or display features) you’d recommend checking to help it run cooler?

I’d love to know if this is just a “breaking in” period or if I should reach out to support for a potential hardware issue. Thanks for the help!

DarkKing_6Wy9tNYtt9 You are facing thermal issue and your mobile heats in normal usage also you have brought your phone recently. It’s likely background processes like app indexing and setup. The heat should be settle after few days. If it continues you can show service centre.

DarkKing_6Wy9tNYtt9 Unfortunately, there are now extreme heating problems for some users (even in basic use and in air-conditioned rooms) that the company staff is aware of, I hope this will be fixed in the next update!

lolifnotely🇮🇱 Being aware isn’t enough—what matters is actually fixing the issues, and that’s what’s missing.

I’ve been using the Nothing Phone 3 for quite some time now. The cooling is good, but not the best. Basically, that’s a drawback of Qualcomm processors.

But you can buy an external fan. I use one on many phones from various manufacturers that use Qualcomm processors. It’s not expensive.
