I bought a Nothing phone mainly for the clean, stock Android experience. I was okay with the hardware being a bit underpowered or overpriced because the software felt worth it.
But this latest update is honestly disappointing. There are barely any useful new features. At least a basic lockscreen depth effect could’ve been added.
Instead, we’re getting things like “Recommended Apps,” which just feels like unnecessary bloat. This is exactly what Nothing was supposed to avoid.
It feels like the focus is now only on newer models, while older devices are being ignored.
All I expect is simple: Keep the UI clean, avoid bloat, and add meaningful features
