So it’s my 3rd day using Nothing Phone (2), having moved from realme GT 2 Pro. I really like this phone, even though my GT 2 Pro worked fine. I always had issues with battery and heating problems. Nothing Phone (2) is impressively smooth, and I don’t have to charge my phone too often. The charging time is a bit stressful as I was used to 67W charging in my old phone. Now I have to wait almost an hour and a quarter to juice up this phone, but no complaints since the screen-on time is better than my older device.
After the A14 (2.5 Nothing OS) update, I noticed that the battery usage chart has changed, and I can’t track the exact screen-on time. I used to have more than 7 hours, but it now shows screen-on time since the last charge as just 4.30 hours. I don’t know why; maybe it’s a bug? The chart is inconsistent and hard to track, so I request bringing back the old battery usage chart, which, in my opinion, was way better than this
I’ve also noticed this weird bug while using the Chrome browser. Sometimes no buttons seem to be working. When I’m on a web page, I can easily scroll, but when I click on something, it freezes, and I have to clear Chrome from the background to fix it. I also sometimes experience this issue in YouTube.
I hope Nothing is working on their new Gallery app, which is crucial to include editing packages and other utilities for a better user experience. I hope Nothing will include a Smart Cutout feature, Eraser, and Copy Text from Photo feature like other phones have. I wish nothing will include a secure folder feature, which is very important for privacy.
So far, the experience has been great. Thanks, Carl and his team, for this amazing product. Btw, I hope to see more utilities and stuff getting added to this.
