Separate app volume control

Hello, is it possible to dissociate the volume of the music application from that of a video? I want to listen to music at the same time as watching a video, but it is impossible to remove the volume of the video without removing the volume of the music. on my old samsung, it was possible to dissociate the 2. is there a tip or application for nothing? THANKS

Is there a volume-per-app option available on the Nothing 3a? Since it’s running Android 15, it should have this feature as it is available on Android 14 devices.

Are there any future possibilities that these people will introduce an app specific volume feature in their os ; like color os and Oxygen OS. Well I don’t expect much from these modedit:redacted but is anyone working on this privately

Hello Nothing Phone Community,

I’m really enjoying my experience with the Nothing Phone so far—its unique design and smooth interface truly stand out. However, I wanted to suggest adding an app-specific sound control feature. In my previous phone (Motorola), I used this extensively, allowing me to individually control volume settings for each app, such as media, notifications, and alerts. This helped avoid distractions and made managing media sounds much easier.

Since switching to the Nothing Phone 3a, I’ve found it challenging without this feature. It would greatly enhance usability by providing more personalized control over app sounds and notifications.

I believe many other users would find this beneficial. I’d love to hear if others feel similarly, and perhaps we can catch the attention of the Nothing team to implement this in future updates.

Hello Nothing Team,

I’m a Nothing Phone (3a) user and I’d like to request the addition of a per-app volume control feature in Nothing OS.

On some other Android skins (e.g., MIUI on Xiaomi phones), users can set and control the volume of each app individually. This is extremely useful when:

Playing music in one app while watching videos or playing games in another.

Wanting notifications or calls at a lower volume but media at a higher level.

Managing Bluetooth speaker/headphone usage where different apps need different loudness.

Currently, Nothing OS only allows adjusting the global media volume, which makes multitasking less flexible. Many users (myself included) would love to see separate app volume sliders in the Sound & Vibration settings, or even a floating panel for quick control.

This would greatly enhance the audio experience on Nothing devices and align with user-friendly innovations that Nothing is known for.

I hope the team can consider this feature in future updates of Nothing OS.

pollenjh Same here, Miss the MULTI VOLUME feature the most. Even basic devices have that now. Hope they add this soon, it’s so soo IMPORTANT !!

It’s been a week sinds I got my phone (3), my first nothing phone. I used to have a s23 and one major feature is missing on nothing os, a volume mixer to control the volume individually for each apps. I don’t know if I’m the only one who needs this feature but I think it’s necessary to implement this on nothing os.
