Regretting Buying the Nothing Phone 2a

I have a Nothing Phone 2a, and I’m currently facing lag throughout the overall UI. System apps like Nothing Gallery, Nothing Camera, Messages, and Dialer lag as well. I also experience lag on the lock screen, home screen, and Settings app. Apps like YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat don’t render smoothly either — it often feels like the display is running at only around 45Hz, while sometimes it goes back to 120Hz. I’m honestly having a hard time with this experience and regretting buying this phone.

I ain’t a happy customer.

WasilShafi Hey man, I feel you — lag on system apps shouldn’t happen on a 120Hz phone. This has been a known issue for some 2a/2a Plus users after the last Nothing OS update.

Try clearing the cache for Nothing Launcher + System UI from Settings > Apps > Show system apps. If that doesn’t work, report it via Nothing Community app with a screen recording so their dev team picks it up.

Hope it gets fixed soon, 2a is solid otherwise.

WasilShafi I agree with you and I don’t like the way battery is getting drained and there has not been any improvement in any updates till date all they give is junky clocks , lame wallpepars , stupid nothing playground where you play with widgets and get bored , network connection disruption and performance issues

Whoever asks me if they should buy nothing i deny and save their time and money

MihirVinod I’ve been using the 2a i had the battery drain issue and it took forever to charge like 20 to 100 in 3 hrs and overheats when i play games the 2a does very well then i deleted all my socials and reinstalled them then cleared app preferences then restricted background for all heavy apps, restarted the phone then phone charged from 7 to 100 in 53 min it all happened after the 4.1 update but now works fine battery doesn’t drain fast anymore its been an hour since full charge and its on 98 percent

Same, leaving the performance issues, I got a faulty display took it to the showroom the next day of purchase, they straight up refused to exchange the device or change the display, now it’s out of warranty.

I even have video evidence of screen burning/ghosting

The service centre lady just pretended she didn’t see anything, and refused to do anything, and started blaming me for using apps to test the display (saying that caused the issue, iam not dumb lady)
