I purchased the Nothing Phone (2) in October 2023. I expected more from Nothing when I bought this phone.
Camera:
The camera image processing is still poor. Even after many updates, the camera quality has not improved much. Photos sometimes look over processed and inconsistent.
UI & Software:
The UI is very good — smooth, clean, and fluid. Nothing OS feels unique and premium compared to other Android phones.
But during the beta update period, I was really frustrated. There was no Beta 2 or quick patch update at that time, and the phone had hanging issues and many bugs.
Performance:
I play PUBG daily for around 2–4 hours. Performance is generally good, but sometimes there are FPS fluctuations during gameplay.
Battery:
Current battery health is 82%.
Still getting around 5–6 hours backup, and the phone is working in normal condition without major problems.
Build Quality:
This is a premium quality phone, but within 6 months I noticed some dots and color shade issues on the side frame. I reported this issue to Nothing support, and they asked me to visit a Nothing service center. But the service center was far away, so I didn’t continue the complaint or repair process.
Missing Features:
• Depth wallpaper support
• Notification bar feels too big
• It would be better if Nothing reduced it similar to the iPhone Dynamic Island style
Overall:
Even now, the phone works smoothly and the UI experience is one of the best parts of this device. But I still expected better camera optimization and after-sales support from Nothing.
I’m also expecting Android 17 update support for the Phone (2).
