i had problem with my buds anc on high which i discussed in the community previously .
recently i fixed the problem (it has been 2 days ,if any problem occurs in the future ill let you guys know). Now im not gonna bore you guys with a long lecture but if you wanna know what the cause read it fully .
PROBLEM - earbuds has a hissing noise only in the left earbud due to mic ( if you have the same problem it is due to the mic ,dont worry it’s not faulty )
CAUSE - This is important so hear me out . When you turn on the personalize sound fot which you have to give a test .It tends to increase the sensitivity of higher frequency . Now we all know every has their own hearing frequency but the nothing app tends to increase it for most of the users as i verified it cause a lot of people have the same exact issue .Personalized sound profiles work by running a hearing test and boosting specific frequencies to compensate for your individual hearing curve. If the algorithm decided your left ear needed a massive boost in the higher frequencies, it essentially cranked the digital gain on that specific side. When you combine that maxed-out digital gain with the hyper-sensitive microphones running on “High” ANC, you create a classic audio feedback loop—which your ear interprets as a static hiss.
SOLUTION -1. The Hard Factory Reset
Don’t just unpair them; you need to force the earbuds to dump their current memory state and reload the firmware from scratch.
Place both earbuds into the charging case and leave the lid open.
Press and hold the setup button on the case for about 10 seconds.
Watch the LED indicator. Keep holding until it flashes red three times and then returns to a pulsing white light. The factory reset is now complete.
2. Clear the System Cache
Before reconnecting them, clear out any lingering data on your phone that might be feeding the earbuds bad settings.
Go to your phone’s Bluetooth settings and completely Forget / Unpair the CMF Buds.
Go to your phone’s App Settings, find the Nothing X app, and clear its Cache (not the storage, just the cache).
3. The Re-Calibration Pairing
Keep the earbuds in the case with the lid open, and place the case on a flat, stable surface. (This ensures the internal gyros and sensors are perfectly leveled when they boot up).
Re-pair them to your phone and test the “High” ANC immediately before changing any other EQ or sound settings.
~ Now the factory reset and clearing cache can be skipped but i did it so i recommend you to do it also but only turning off the personalize sound should work ~
Important - after the problem was solved i did turn on ultra bass , spatial audio (anything except personalize sound )and everthing works fine
