Class 3 biometric availability

In India none of the banking and financial apps are allowing face recognition to unlock as they use Google’s Biometric API, which classifies the optical or standard 2D face unlocks used in Nothing phones as a lower security tier. For sensitive apps like banking or password managers, Android only permits secure Class 3 biometrics (like fingerprints or 3D Face ID).

When is class 3 biometric expected to be rolled out (all chinese phones already have it)

So I’m in the UK, but both my banking apps use the in-screen fingerprint sensor to authenticate - which would suggest what you are requesting is already in use?

RapidZapper the only Phone using 2D recognition and receiving class 3 security level is the Google Pixel at the moment.
