3a Pro user here. Since this last update I have trouble opening/responding to notifications directly from the lockscreen. I use a PIN number to unlock it.

There is a notification (say a text message that I want to answer), so I tap on it and the “Enter your PIN” screen appears. I cannot press the numbers or anything else, the screen becomes unresponsive. I have to press the Power button to turn the screen off, power button again to turn the screen on, and then I can unlock the screen.

It happens randomly. Sometimes it works as expected and I can unlock the screen directly after tapping on the notification, but other times it goes as I described above.

I already tried restarting the phone, turning it off and on, etc.

Any help will be really appreciated. Thanks.

Any update on the dedicated status icon things we were promised for headphone (a) or similar? Is it really just a 4a exclusive at this point :/

I mean no disrespect, I love this brand to death but the inconsistencies really concern me.

After Nothing OS update around July 4, 2026, wired Android Auto no longer connects. It loops: car starts loading Android Auto, then disconnects, repeatedly.

Already tried:

- Two different USB data cables, including a new cable

- Cleared Android Auto cache and data

- Forgot car from Android Auto / car side and paired again

- Rebooted phone and car

Bugreport evidence:

- Repeated USB_ACCESSORY_ATTACHED events for com.google.android.projection.gearhead

- Repeated setAutomotiveProjection followed by releaseAutomotiveProjection

- USB state ends connected=false, configured=false, kernel_state=DISCONNECTED

- Android Auto companion service connected=false

This is unbelievably annoying. Randomly, out of nowhere and for no reason at all, my mobile data just turns itself off. Then I turn it on, then it’s fine for some random period - maybe an hour, maybe a day… but it will turn itself off on its own.

But to turn it back on it’s not enough to just tap it, no no. I turn it back on but I still have no internet access on any SIM unless I toggle airplane mode, then disable it, ONLY THEN my data (on both SIMs) is active again. For how long? Who knows, it’s a mystery…

Absolutely not a single network-related issue before this update. A 💩load of them since updating. That’s the “excitement” that people want to have in the OS, I’m assuming? Because stable and issue-free OS is boring? I like boring, this is not fun at all.

Edit: And just like with that hotspot issue ( https://nothing.community/d/58918-nothing-phone-3a-series-nothing-os-b41-260618-1048-changelog/53 ) I can’t report this because I can’t recreate it as it happens completely randomly, it can take 2-3 days, or 2-3 minutes…

Something with the software, because it happens (the exact same issue) on different phones and only recently. It’s also impossible to log and submit that report, because it happens randomly - it can take minutes, it can take hours, it can take days… but it will 100% surely happen again.

I have that with my (3a), and my gf has that with her own (3a). I wrote about it here:

Funnily enough, the new Phone (4b) also has the exact same issue. 4:30 in this review:

So yes, it’s a software bug since June 2026, which is impossible to track and report, so who knows if it’s ever going to get fixed 😅

(I’ve never had a single network-related issue prior to that June update.)

Issue Type: Charging / Software Bug

Issue Description

After updating my Nothing Phone (3a) to Nothing OS 4.1, I started experiencing a charging issue that was not present before the update.

Whenever I connect the charger, the phone repeatedly disconnects and reconnects to charging. The charging animation and sound keep repeating, making the charging process unstable. This behavior occurs consistently and affects normal charging.

Expected Behavior

The phone should detect the charger once and continue charging normally without any interruptions.

Actual Behavior

- Charging repeatedly disconnects and reconnects.

- Charging sound and animation play multiple times.

- Charging becomes unstable and unreliable.

- The issue started only after installing the Nothing OS 4.1 update.

Troubleshooting Performed

- Restarted the phone.

- Cleaned the USB-C charging port.

- Tried different charging adapters and USB-C cables.

- Verified that the charger works correctly with other devices.

Despite these steps, the issue continues.

I kindly request the Nothing software team to investigate this issue, as it appears to be related to the Nothing OS 4.1 update. Please provide a software fix or include a resolution in the next update if this is a known bug.

I was satisfied with my battery before the latest update. But after the update, it barely survives for 4hours on data and 5 hours on wifi. Moreover im not a heavy gamer or something. I hope nothing will fix this issue with the latest update

How much total sot you get on full charge?

mouhidulhaqueprottoy 9 to 11 hours (more often 9, but 11 is perfectly reachable indoor or when it’s very cloudy). On mobile data, on WiFi it’s much more but that’s also all indoor with low(er) brightness so I don’t care much about it to measure it. This above is basically 8 hours with hotspot on.

Also, make sure to disable all this bs, it literally added 30% extra to my battery life:

grepGander man looks like you get a very good sot. Idk why my battery sucks. Nothing should address this issue.
