Hi everyone,
I’m facing a very strange performance issue with my Nothing Phone (3) and would really appreciate some help from the community.
My phone was working flawlessly earlier, but for around the last 1 month, I have started experiencing severe slowness whenever I open an app.
What is happening:
The Phone (3) UI itself feels normal and smooth while navigating through the home screen/settings.
However, whenever I open any app, it takes a very long time to become fully responsive — sometimes several minutes.
During this time, a refresh/loading symbol keeps appearing on the screen and the app doesn’t properly start working.
This is happening with multiple apps, not just one particular application.
Once the app eventually starts responding, it may work normally.
This was not happening previously. The phone used to work perfectly.
My device:
Nothing Phone (3)
16 GB RAM + 2 GB RAM Booster
512 GB storage
Storage currently used: only around 185 GB
So there is still a lot of free storage available.
Because of the above, I don’t think this is simply a storage or RAM limitation.
Has anyone else experienced something similar with the Phone (3)?
Could this be:
A Nothing OS/software issue?
Some background process or service causing high CPU/disk usage?
An issue with the internal storage?
A recent OS/app update causing this?
Or potentially a hardware problem?
I have already noticed that the problem is becoming quite frustrating because the phone is otherwise smooth, but opening and initializing apps has become extremely slow.
Would you recommend that I visit a Nothing service centre/customer care? If I do, will they be able to run any diagnostics to determine whether this is a hardware or software issue?
I would really appreciate any suggestions or troubleshooting steps from other Phone (3) users who may have faced the same problem.
Thanks!
