as a user i want the things that are really handy not just for show
If you are a DJ or something related to music and performs on stage still there is no use of this
also it will consume more processes and battery

but just think you are working and suddenly someone comes and say wow dude your backlight looks cool but can you see them and is it worth spending on those light
when it’s just the company who wanted to you to pay for their showoff and you fell for it
you are paying for their marketing
and what you are getting - performance?
