RuudHesp i think you did not thought about the difference between Flagship and most recent Release.
In case of a very young company like Nothing you dont Release new Products to provide a Hardware Update for last-gen Users. You Release new Products to aquire new buyers of your products. And those most recent Hardware Releases get the Software Updates most of the time quicker to reach for the newbies first. Sure the NP3 has its flaws Nothing could ‘cure’ with software-updates. But Nothing is doing Software “in-House”. There is no team of 500 softwaredevs. Just a couple Dudes. Sure it Sounds pretty easy. “They know the Problem. Just fix it!” But its far of from beeing that simple.
Then there is many stuff, no offend at this Point, people want because its new and they want the new stuff just because its new not because its very much needed to run the Phone properly. The Phone runs mostly fine without critical Bugs and errors. There are ‘Beta Tester’ of Software and OS Updates out there never wrote a single feedback but start to complain when something crashes or get delayed.
For Samsung as example, last years Flagship didnt got any OneUI Android 17 Betas you could possibly sign in for. Only the most recent Flagship releases had a chance to anticipate. For Nothing it means even without a Flagship release this year. The, more or less, current Flagship is still a Phone released a year ago…
Even without Nothing having a real Ultra- or Flagship Userbase (in my understanding of Ultrsa or Flagship poweruser) i also think a Flagship shouldnt be the Product a Companys uses as Testpilot the most. A Flagship should do its Flagship thing, having enough Power to handle Powerusers tasks. Not much room for powerdrain and random errors caused by Beta stuff…
