I’ve been using the Nothing Phone (1) since September 2022, and until recently it has been one of the best phones I’ve owned. Even after nearly four years, the phone remained smooth, the battery life was excellent, and I was already planning to upgrade to the next Nothing flagship.
In July 2026, I updated to the latest and final Nothing OS 3.2 (Build: Spacewar-V3.2-260618-1045). About a week later, my phone started developing issues that I had never experienced in the previous four years.
Issues I’m facing
Bluetooth initially caused random restarts and now won’t turn on at all.
Wi-Fi became unstable, disconnecting randomly and sometimes refusing to turn on.
Unable to make or receive phone calls intermittently.
The phone now restarts on its own several times a day.
Troubleshooting already performed
None of these steps resolved the problem.
After searching online, I found that I’m far from the only one. Multiple Phone (1) users have reported Bluetooth failures, Wi-Fi issues, random restarts, and other stability problems after the latest update.
What makes this especially disappointing is discovering that the Phone (1) has officially reached End of Life, meaning July 2026 was its final planned software update. If this final update has introduced serious issues for a number of users, are we simply expected to live with them because software support has ended?
I wasn’t looking for a reason to switch brands. In fact, I was planning to buy another Nothing phone. Instead, I’m now questioning whether I can trust a company that ends software support with an update that appears to have left some devices in a worse state than before.
I’m not asking for years of additional updates. I’m asking for one responsible maintenance release if the final build has introduced regressions. End of Life should not mean releasing a final update that potentially compromises the user experience and then leaving loyal customers without a fix.
If someone from the Nothing team is reading this, please acknowledge whether these reports are being investigated. Even if the issue affects only a subset of devices, your long-time customers deserve transparency.
Is anyone else experiencing similar issues after updating to Nothing OS 3.2 (Build: Spacewar-V3.2-260618-1045)?
