Hi all,
My son has a Nothing Phone 2 that has to run a specific app that controls his insulin pump (he has diabetes type 1). Yesterday we installed that app (MyLife CamAPS FX) on the Nothing OS version the phone shipped with (2.0.x I guess?).
Today he updated to the latest version and also did a reset to clear out some settings copied over from his previous phone. When we wanted to install MyLife CamAPS FX the app suddenly showed as ’not compatible for your device’. It won’t show the app’s detail page, so installing is impossible.
It’s not as if the app is incompatible with Android 14, since I have the app installed (in companion mode) on my Pixel 7 running Android 14, but it appears to be incompatible with Nothing’s implementation.
I did a factory reset of the phone but this doesn’t change anything… in the Play Store the app still shows as incompatible.. The phone runs Nothing OS 2.5.2 with January’s Play Store update, so it’s on the latest possible version..
Obviously I will contact CamDiab as well, but as the app is essential for managing my son’s diabetes I want a quick fix for now.
My guess is that downgrading the phone to the last Nothing OS version running on Android 13 is the best short-term fix. However, I’ve tried to find instructions on the forum to do just that, but can’t find a working set of instructions. Most appear aimed at rolling back a beta (which this isn’t).
Could someone please explain how to roll back my son’s phone to the latest Nothing OS version based on Android 13?
Thanks a lot!!!
