This is the end !!
This is exactly why I stopped getting excited about Nothingâs announcements.
The hardware can be good, the design can be different, and the marketing can be impressive â but none of that matters if the software experience becomes an afterthought once the next generation arrives.
The worst part isnât even missing a few new features. Itâs watching Nothing constantly talk about innovation and AI while existing customers are still waiting for basic improvements and fixes.
If a feature is technically possible on an older device, at least explain why it isnât being brought over. Donât just stay silent and keep releasing security-patch changelogs.
And the whole âIntelligence Toolkitâ thing is honestly ridiculous. Putting Essential Key Settings and a ChatGPT shortcut under an AI toolkit doesnât suddenly make them AI technology.
Nothing needs to stop selling the idea of being different and start proving it through long-term software support.
Iâve been watching Nothing since the early days, and honestly, the company is starting to look more and more like every other smartphone manufacturer it originally claimed to be different from.
New phone â new features â old phones forgotten â repeat.
At some point, customers stop believing the promises.
And judging by how many longtime users are becoming frustrated, that point is getting very close.
