Hey guys, I found a potential workaround for the green tint issue that completely fixed it on my end!

Try forcing a continuous 120 Hz refresh rate and disabling dynamic/adaptive refresh rate.

The green tint seems to trigger when the display dynamic-switches and adjusts. 120Hz forces a single, consistent voltage calibration and bypasses those tinted refresh states entirely i guess.

But, maybe it will causing battery drain because the phone is forced to run 120Hz all the time. Hopefully the team will deliver a new update (NOS 5.0 ?) to solve this perfectly.

Green tint still persists when the fingerprint sensor is interacted with.

Mrk_xBzVtZ2aFA We can do it but not officially, I have seen a post regarding this. I have tried to do so with shizuku and button mapper. I will leave the link below from youtube (Sam Beckman). He actually guides so clearly. How to Remap the Essential Key. This was completely free with installing different apps for making it work. But the only downside is that some banking apps might not work properly showing to uninstall shizuku which is the main app for making the essential key remapping purpose. and regarding about the post that’s in the community itself. He actually created an app for it, but it is paid one . I will leave the link for it here. You can check that one as well if you’re interested. 📲 Essential Remapper.

After updating to Nothing OS 4.1 on my Nothing Phone3, I can no longer save screenshots to Essential Space using the Essential Key. Please restore the ability to save screenshots directly or allow customizable key behavior, please. On my device, screenshots are not saving to Essential Space even when I try to save them manually by pressing the essential key once and selecting it.

Is there any way to fix it ?

UpawNothing Logout and Log in again. It will work. If you syced your data to cloud, those will be there.

After the update, now my sim is not getting recognised in the phone. It says No SIM is inserted. What do I do now?

Still, after many iterations, turning off “Essential News Widget” or whatever, the phone still hijacks Bluetooth auto-play when headphones are attached. Instead of a random AI news report (before turning it off) you still get a silent playback of nothing (ironically) and there is NO WAY to disable this.

shyamananth008 Try signing out of and back into your Nothing account via the settings menu. Not a permanent fix for me but allows me to use the service. Make sure you turn on cloud back up so you don’t lose any essential space data.

Hey GrepGander, while it’s true that the displays have their physical irregularities, I’ve confirmed in the past that the issues are all software based.

I have no idea about other units, but at least my 2a+ with the CSOT panel is very competent physically.

And yes, all phones, all variants, all are software issues. Why do you think nothing can’t fix it? Because they can’t code. Same reason why the remaining OS is as bad as the screen issue. If it was hardware it’d be fixed LONG ago.

Some things are just about disabling HDR and tuning the response, and for disabling HDR? Unfortunately the settings toggle doesn’t disable HDR, only disables the peak auto brightness.

Answering directly to PWM, I wouldn’t take off the possibility of it being due to the controller chip firmware, or any phone 3 specific issue that I’m unaware of.
