It actually seems very good.
I wish, however, they would take advantage of this to fix a defect regarding video recording. This is a request that I have already made several times.
Currently, if you try to record at 60 fps, it is not possible to change lenses by zooming. It does not switch from the standard lens to the telephoto lens. And so, you end up with reduced zoom and the image is unwatchable, while at 30 fps the problem does not exist.
To give an example, on 4A Pro, if I start recording with the standard lens and start zooming, I get to 7x and it looks awful. While with the telephoto lens, it can reach up to 20x.
At 60 frames, you cannot switch from the standard lens to the telephoto lens and vice versa. , you must select the target before you start recording, and this is absurd.
It is only possible at 30 fps.
I hope that with Nothing OS 5, this problem will be resolved because, honestly, even entry-level or worse phones manage to switch between lenses at all resolutions.
This is not a minor problem. To be accepted by everyone, including and especially new users, smartphones need intuitiveness.
The average person doesn’t think about these things; they start recording and zooming, and they end up with horrendous videos.
The only way is to solve this problem and allow changing lenses while recording is already in progress.
Obviously, I hope to have the option, even just with a simple button, to disable AI post-processing when taking a photo.
But it shouldn’t be a hidden setting you have to go look for. I would like to have it in the gallery editor to restore a photo without the AI processing o vice versa.
