Mistique You can argue all you want, it won’t be any helpful at all, let alone change something.
As grepGander stated already, years of major versions typically equals numbers of major version. So two years of major updates mean two major updates, three years of major updates mean three major updates, five years of major updates equal five major updates.
However let’s even say it would ve actual years, not versions, even by the logic you are trying to point out here you already have proven yourself wrong:
As you already pointed out yourself, CMF Phone 1 has been released early July 2024, so the major update support would have ended already in July 2026, so more than a month ago. Nothing OS 5.0, the next major update, however was only announced today in late August 2026 and even according to Nothing’s own roadmap it won’t be a finished, public update before Q4 2026. So regardless how you are looking at it, the major update policy has already been fulfilled for this particular phone.
Besides Nothing / CMF is very transparent with their update policies, even more tech websites and reviewers openly state things like “Supported up to Android 16”.
