I’m currently out in Maui, Hawaii, representing all of you as the Community Board Observer for this year’s Snapdragon Summit, where I’ve been fortunate enough to have been invited by Snapdragon and Nothing to attend. It’s my first time experiencing this event and Hawaii, in person and honestly, the scale of it is something else.
Instead of spamming the forum with a million different threads, I’m going to use this exact post as my master hub. I’ll be updating it at the end of every single day with the biggest announcements, what caught my eye, and what it all actually means for us.

🛫 Pre-Summit / Travel Day: Aloha from Hawaii
Leaving the house at 5:30am with so much excitement, I don’t think I’ve ever felt so awake at this time of the day before without coffee. Besides the event itself, I’m really looking forward to meeting all the other Snapdragon Insiders - some of them I’ve already been connected with online for a while, others are new faces that I’m very excited to meet. With so many of us arriving from all corners of the world, it’s going to be so much fun getting to know everyone’s background and tech influences.

Well who doesn’t love a delayed flight to kick off the adventure! So instead of me arriving at the wonderful time of 4pm, I landed at 10pm instead. Whilst I missed the initial welcome dinner, I wasn’t alone as air traffic control had different plans for everyone travelling today, with some arriving late and others not making it until the morning. Nonetheless, I arrived at the hotel and everything still looked incredible!
There’s definitely a massive buzz in the air about what’s dropping this week, especially with all the chatter around some of the latest teases and Agentic AI themes.
For now, I’m off to catch some rest after a mammoth 24 hour travel session 😴

🚀 Day 1: The Main Event & Keynote Drops
Day 1 is officially wrapped, andwhat a way to kick things off. Being here in person for the welcome keynote and diving straight into the “Agentic Age” definitely got me thinking about how we use our devices.
According to the stats shared on stage, roughly 70% of people are interested in personalised agents, and 66% want a cohesive device ecosystem built around AI. The big message today? Snapdragon isn’t just building chips anymore, they’re building the processor backbone for the Agentic Age, shifting the focus from traditional apps to agents that can actually understand context, anticipate needs, and take action securely.

- The Silicon Muscle: A massive focus on how mobile is shifting toward presence, context, and connection. The spotlight was on the brand new Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 (driving peak performance) and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 (focusing on extreme efficiency).
- Oryon CPU & Hexagon NPU: Seeing the deep dive into the Oryon CPU, breaking 5.0GHz prime cores (A mobile first) and the Hexagon NPU, handling heavy models locally to generate context and make decisions was fascinating. Plus, the Qualcomm Sensing Hub lets the system stay aware in the background without waking the main app, which is a game-changer for battery life.
- Smart Ecosystems: It’s not just phones anymore. Snapdragon spans everything from wearables and laptops to cars and audio. Even partners like Mastercard are stepping in, allowing agents to securely take control of intuitive shopping experiences based on your interactions.
After the keynote wrapped up, we had a bit of time to refresh before heading straight into the demo area. I dabbled in the art of painting, as well as soaking up some of that beautiful Hawaiian sunshine. Getting hands-on with the latest mobile agentic AI tech was incredible and yes, I couldn’t resist grabbing some of the custom AI collectibles (including those neat collectible cards generated from photos!).
Later on, we headed over to the terrace to catch a recording of the Alex Heath podcast featuring Cristiano Amon, followed by the mandatory group photo with the CEO himself.
As the day draws to a close, we’re finishing the evening with a great group dinner, breaking down everything we’d seen and kicking off the Summit properly.
I think about today, and I’ve come away thinking that it’s one thing reading spec sheets on a screen back home, but seeing how fluid these architectures perform live changes your perspective completely.
Bring on Day 2, we’re shifting gears to focus on Personal AI & Sound!
🎧 Day 2: Personal AI, Audio, & Next-Gen Wearables
Day 2 shifted the focus entirely away from traditional phone form factors and straight into the future of Personal AI and Sound. If Day 1 was about the processor backbone, Day 2 was about how we’re actually going to wear and interact with AI every day.
- Snapdragon Sound Elite Gen 2: Snapdragon officially dropped their new audio platform designed specifically for the AI era. It delivers twice the AI performance and uses 40% less power, all packed into a footprint that’s roughly 30% smaller than before.
- Beyond the Phone: The big realisation today is that future audio gear won’t just stream music, it’ll act as a direct gateway. With built-in micro-power Wi-Fi 6E and the new Snapdragon Sound Apps & Agents framework, upcoming earbuds and smart wearables can connect directly to cloud services and AI assistants without needing to constantly lean on your smartphone.
- Multimodal Wearables: Qualcomm highlighted how the ecosystem is expanding past standard earbuds into audio glasses and camera-equipped wearables. Features like the Snapdragon Audio Sense Solution mean devices can intelligently understand your surroundings, adapt to noise, and offer real-time contextual assistance on the fly.
- The Microsoft & Copilot PC Evolution: The partnership between Qualcomm and Microsoft took center stage with the introduction of the new Snapdragon X2 Plus-powered Surface Pro 12-inch and Surface Laptop 13-inch. These fanless powerhouses bring a massive 95% boost to local AI inferencing, up to 22.5 hours of battery life, and brilliant 500-nit PixelSense displays.
- The Manchester United Surface Laptop: In a massive crossover moment for football fans and tech geeks alike, Qualcomm and Microsoft officially pulled back the curtain on the limited-edition Manchester United Surface Laptop powered by Snapdragon, sporting a striking red aluminum finish with laser-etched club branding.
The demo area today was an absolute playground. Getting hands-on time with the immersive Microsoft demo section and checking out the new Snapdragon-powered Windows lineup firsthand was fantastic—especially seeing how fast local AI tasks run on the new hardware.
Outside the PC space, testing out the latest AI smart glasses was mind-blowing, and yes, I couldn’t resist jumping into the EV Hummer display in the experience zone too!

As the sun set over Maui, we wrapped up the evening with dinner and drinks out on the terrace, taking in a fantastic view while breaking down everything we’d seen with the rest of the crew.
The way hardware efficiency, Windows, and local AI are all locking into place right now is making thin, fanless, all-day-battery computing genuinely exciting again.

🌊 Day 3: Real-World Agentic AI, Sea Turtles, & Final Aloha
For the final day of Snapdragon Summit 2026, the focus shifted from raw specs to what really matters: real-world use cases.
- Agentic AI in Action: The standout moment of the final session was seeing live, practical demonstrations of Agentic AI at work. One of our very own Snapdragon Insiders, Joshua Timothy, took to the stage to show live how he uses these systems to streamline his creative workflow, demonstrating how agentic AI can automatically organize, sort, and edit massive photo libraries in minutes instead of hours. Seeing it solve genuine creative friction points was a massive eye-opener.
Once the final keynote wrapped up, we traded tech stages for the Pacific Ocean. A group of us headed out on a boat excursion for some scuba diving and snorkeling, taking in the breathtaking views of the Hawaiian coast. Seeing sea turtles up close in their natural habitat alongside tropical fish for the very first time was completely unforgettable easily one of the highlights of the week.
To close out the summit in style, everyone gathered one last time for a traditional Luau, rocking our best Hawaiian shirts, enjoying amazing local performances, and sharing a few final drinks as we started saying our goodbyes.
As I sit here typing this up while waiting for my flight home, it’s hitting me just how surreal and incredible this past week has been. I’m sad it’s over, as all good things eventually have to come to an end, but I’m immensly happy that it happened and I was about to be part of it.
This was my first time at Snapdragon Summit, and getting to represent all of you on the Nothing Community as our Community Board Observer has been an immense honor. More than just the chips, the PCs, or the brilliant tech, what sticks with me most is the genuine community spirit. Meeting tech enthusiasts and creators from all over the world who share the exact same passion has been truly special.
It’s an experience I’d love to be part of again in the future. A massive, heartfelt thank you to both Snapdragon and Nothing for making this happen.
