There’s been a pretty big change for CMF.
On September 21, 2026, Carl announced that CMF will transition from a Nothing sub-brand into a standalone, majority Indian-owned company headquartered in India, with its own team and R&D operations. Nothing will remain a shareholder and partner.
With such a significant change, we’ve restructured the CMF page on nothing.wiki to reflect its new corporate structure while keeping its history as part of Nothing intact.
The updated page now covers the transition from CMF by Nothing → CMF, the formation of CMF India Private Limited, its relationship with Nothing and Optiemus, and the timeline leading up to the September 2026 announcement.
