Nothing OS 5.0 on my Phone (3a) is honestly WOW. 😭❤️

The phone feels smoother than ever. The control centre animations and transitions are EXTREMELY smooth and beautiful. That curtain effect when opening the control centre… oh my God, just WOW! The whole design, animations, and even the torch brightness/dimming effect feel so satisfying.

The new font style, app opening/closing animations, and overall transitions are amazing. The phone literally feels like it’s GLIDING like a fluid. I’ve never experienced an Android phone feel this fluid after a major software update. Most companies talk about updates making phones slower, but Nothing is doing the complete opposite. 😂❤️

The new Dual Camera mode is also amazing — using the front and rear cameras together in video is such a cool addition.

I’m genuinely SO HAPPY with Nothing OS 5.0. Just one big request: please bring even more of these beautiful glass/liquid-style effects and the Lucent/Liquid Glass effect to the stable update for Phone (3a). Please don’t leave 3a behind. 🥹

And please fix the Wi-Fi tile behaviour. Currently, tapping Wi-Fi from the control centre disconnects from the current network instead of actually turning Wi-Fi off. To completely turn it off, we have to expand the tile and do it manually. Please make it simple again: one tap = Wi-Fi OFF, one tap = Wi-Fi ON and reconnect.

Apart from that — Nothing, you absolutely nailed this update. ❤️ Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

Jandie Yes, they really need to fix that as it feels too lengthy to go and open the tile just to turn off the wifi. It is also very confusing as it sometimes turns off my mobile data by mistouch.

So I have seen my brother’s 12 pro max and I loved that feature and genuinely asked for it. It actually is good but sometimes it turns on in the middle of the night and drains battery through cpu running in background.

I think your concern is genuine and should be customisable. Personally I love this featurw because its feels more smooth and less touches for the same thing like when earlier sometimes it didn’t connect to wifi network and i had to manually click it multiple times to connect it back , annoying af . Peace ✌️

RajPratapAnand Yes I do understand your point of view mate, instead of just removing this feature, wifi can also have 3 option slider like the

sound widget:- SOUND-MUTE-VIBRATE,

likewise: wifi :- OFF-DISCONNET-ON.

What’s your opinion on this!

Satyam I actually didn’t even think of ring vibrate ans silent slider quick setting , style that’s actually genius or they could do it like torch like how we can change the intensity of torch now

RajPratapAnand Yes! that’s a great idea but again that needs to be in Open view. It should not be like opening the tile of wifi and then change the required setting, else it can be an open tile to switch the settings from WIFI ON- OFF- DISCONNECT.

i think they need to add some better animations in the control panel.

rn, when u pull it down the entire control panel falls down and gives a bounce effect. it would have been better if there was a slight pull like visual feedback when opening it like in color os and other uis. maybe not that much but still a bit would be better.

also when swiping left and right, the battery icon and everything just go left and right. they should be constant and only the contents inside it should change. and even better if there was a haptic feedback when swiping left or right.

there is no screen turnoff animation. that smooth turn off animation glitches when double tapping to turn off screen and is completely absent when pressing power button to turn off screen.

there is no rewind/play previous song toggle in the media control in control centre. there is only option to skip to next song. to go back to previous song u need to swipe to the notification center and then control it.

and yeah, for lockscreen clock customisation, the user should be given more colour choices or maybe a colour brightness choice. a black or white and a few more colours with saturation and brightness slider to make the colours darker or lighter ..

no lucent theme but they said it will arrive later so I’m not calling that out now..

these are some things that I think need to be fixed/improved…for a better user experience
