Together, we’ve tuned a new Flat EQ mode, built a dedicated Spatial Audio mode based on their iconic Studio B, and created 5 new genre-based EQ profiles that boost genres shaped by British artists — giving you even more ways to listen with intention.
🎛️ Simple EQ and Advanced EQ let you adjust the balance of bass, midrange and treble via a frequency curve to suit your preferences which means specific sounds rise above others or fall into the background. When producing music or content, a more neutral listening balance can help when testing a recording which asks for an almost flat frequency curve.
Our new Flat EQ mode, tuned by Metropolis Studios and activated using the switch on your headphones, is designed to offer a studio-inspired tonal balance through your headphones, which is usually done with expensive studio monitors. Drawing on the recording and mastering experience of Metropolis Studios’ esteemed engineers, it aims to approximate the tonal balance of neutral studio monitoring – it’s perfect for creators.
Genre EQ profiles, also developed with Metropolis Studios, celebrate genres the UK has defined or helped shape for decades; Neo-Jazz, British Rock, Bass Music, Grime & UK Rap, and Electronic. You’ll find them ready to select in the EQ library on Nothing X.
