I’ve been a part of the enthusiast Android community long before Nothing existed.
In 2014, I was among the early enthusiasts in India who imported the original OnePlus One (from China) when OnePlus was still building its “flagship killer” identity. Since then, I’ve been deeply involved in the Android ecosystem rooting devices, flashing custom ROMs, experimenting with software, and pushing my phones far beyond their out of the-box experience.
In 2023, I bought the Nothing Phone (2), and it immediately felt like a brand built for people like me people who care not just about using technology, but about understanding it, experimenting with it, and challenging it.
That’s why the India exclusion from this program is particularly disappointing.
India is not just a market for Nothing. It is one of the countries where Nothing devices are manufactured, and it has a huge and deeply engaged community of Android enthusiasts.
I understand that every program needs geographic limitations. But if the goal is to find passionate technology enthusiasts who can provide meaningful feedback and create authentic content, I hope Nothing will consider giving Indian community members an opportunity in future rounds.
I’d genuinely love the chance to put a Nothing product through the kind of hands on testing I’ve been doing with Android devices for more than a decade.
Wishing the Nothing team all the best in building something truly cracking!
