Hi Nothing team and community,
I’m experiencing significant charging and thermal issues with my Nothing Phone (3) after updating to Nothing OS 5.0.
Before the update, my phone could charge from 0% to 100% in approximately 43 minutes using the same CMF charger and cable. Now, at 52% battery, the phone estimates another 43 minutes to reach 100%, which is a substantial slowdown compared with my previous experience.
I’m also experiencing unusually high temperatures during ordinary usage, including scrolling YouTube Shorts and using my phone for a few minutes. The temperature has climbed to around 44–46°C in these situations. Restarting the phone and force-stopping apps did not immediately resolve the issue, although powering the phone off for five minutes helped it cool down.
Currently, the phone remains cool while charging, but charging is still noticeably slower than before. I’m concerned that the update may have affected charging performance or thermal management.
Could the Nothing team please investigate whether this is a software-related issue? I’d also appreciate guidance on whether an official rollback to the previous stable version is possible for the Phone (3).
I love the Nothing experience, but these issues are concerning on a premium device. I’d appreciate a response or guidance from the team.
Device: Nothing Phone (3)

Thank you.
