Nothing OS 5.0 General Release is now rolling out to Phone (3), Phone (4a), Phone (4a) Pro, Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro. This is the full Nothing OS 5.0 experience, including the redesigned Launcher, Micrographics clock face, refreshed design system, deeper personalisation, smoother performance, improved Essential AI tools and the best of Android 17. Thank you to everyone who joined the Open Beta and shared feedback with us! Your input helped us refine the experience ahead of general release. ⚙️ To update, go to Settings > System > System update. matevz_babnik I have my own business and have my personal and Microsoft 365 business accounts setup on my NP3. I use Outlook to access my personal and business exchange email and Onedrive/Sharepoint apps to access our server. I would not want to let a business take control of my personal phone in the way you describe it might mean you would be unable to install all the applications you want. Why not talk to your IT department and see what they are prepared to do for you in this respect and what limitations that may put on your phone.

UpawNothing I maybe described the situation in a way that it’s not very clear. There is an app called “Intune Company Portal” that creates a company regulated and safe space for company apps (business apps) that are on your phone, but seperate from your own content. You cannot copy things to or from your personal account to the business one.

Honeslty, I prefer it. You even get a quick icon to turn the work apps completely off when you’re off work or on leave. Real useful 😀 . Of course to each their own. I hate having 2 phones to juggle with, so this option works best for me.

Last time I upgraded to OS 5 the this work profile / app did not do well, so I needed to downgrade and re-setup my phone. This is why I am asking if anyone has experience with this now after official release.

matevz_babnik Ah no sorry I have not used that application. It does sound like a great way to separate business and personal activity, I will have to look into it. Sorry to hear it’s not working well for you.

UpawNothing I can try making an upgrade now and see if it works after upgrade now.

However I cannot do another rollback as I loose too much time when my phone is work disabled. This is why I asked if anyone is using this. 😅

matevz_babnik I see, I hope it works for you. I note the play store reviews of the application are not favourable, it may be an MS issue and not Android 17 that is the problem, good luck. NOS 5.0 stable has worked very well for me.

when you activate gemini then unlock device, the launcher just crashes (and gemini stuck)?

When I zoom in to 3x or higher, the camera stops focusing properly and seems to get stuck focusing on very close-up subjects.

I’ve tried clearing the camera app’s cache and restarting my device, but neither has helped. The same issue also occurs in third-party camera apps.

The problem first appeared in Beta 5.0 and is still present on the official 5.0 release. Is anyone else experiencing this, or is there a fix?

@Zac 🛸 after nothing os 5.0 update for phone 3 the battery stats is not showing correctly and the device health services app is not showing compatible as well.. pls check and advis

After updating from Nothing OS 4 to Nothing OS 5.0, the text has become significantly smaller and much harder to read. Some icons have also become disproportionately small, particularly the GPay icon.
