Just installed the Update. Looks good so far.

But I encountered two issues:

The scrolling animation in the app drawer is not as smooth anymore. There is a small but noticeable lag or stuttering. Even when setting the refresh rate to fixed 120hz.
The battery drains faster than before.

Besides these two issues - which might get fixed with a patch soon - a fine update.

Daniel no problem last time my messages was automaticaly translated.

Witch country already received the général update ?

The Ultra XDR option in the camera, which was available in Nothing OS 4.3, is no longer showing up. Because of this, the photos we take with the camera automatically have Ultra HDR, which we don’t want. The toggle and option have been removed, so please bring them back through an update.

What! How is the camera overall ?

Did they downgrade the quality?

I have updated to OS 5.0 but I can’t see the new lock screen clock face or micro graphic widget. What could be the reason.

Just to make sure:

You are using a Nothing Phone (3) and have updated to the stable OS 5.0 release which was rolled out today?

You can try to restart your phone again. The new clock styles should be on the far left of the list

Coldpaw it’s showing incomplete information just the time and date only

Is there any difference in the new update? The quality on the 4.1 was pretty good. I hope there is no downgrade. I have the update available but I am sceptical on the camera quality part.

Any comments?

Hi guys

Sup

Aight heres some flaws mostly with new features

Uno

That was tuff right?

Custom widgets (the one on the very top) arent supported by the translucent font or whatever it is.

That also works with third party app widgets, or at least non nothing apps, like the google search bar

Neither this bar as a widget i can more around and nor the bar that you can set as default on the bottom row.

Des

Or whatever two is in spanish

Another translucent.

Who wouldve seen that one coming huh?

If you didn’t notice, the black icons on the hidden folder are like

Not the translucent colour all the other icons are.

I dont know what the colour is based off, probably the colours of your background, but it cant be that hard to add that specific tint there too right?

Three

Im not even trying anymore

Well my screen didn’t use to turn black when i put ky pin on before did it?

Now im not saying thats a bad thing. Black is probably for privacy or something idk.

But cant we have a toggle? Like i personally preferred the colours, right now its- colours of the lock screen, an odly black screen, and then the same or any other colours in the home screen.

Thats just me though.

Aight peace guys until next time

Edit

Third one is CAP i just didnt notice : P

Its only black with battery saver on mb chat

@Zac 🛸 So far, I’m really loving Nothing OS 5 on the Phone (3). The only thing holding back the experience is the persistent black crush issue, which still seems to be present after the update. Interestingly, the issue seems to disappear when brightness is kept below 29-30%, but becomes increasingly noticeable once it goes above 35-40%, especially around 50%. This makes me wonder if it could be addressed through software optimisation. Zac, any updates on this issue or plans to address it in an upcoming update would be greatly appreciated. It’s affecting the content-watching experience quite a bit, and getting this fixed would make the Phone (3) experience so much better. Hope the team is looking into it!

Lockscreen new clock face looks barebone

The lucent theme only folder and widget… They should only market what they can do

CarlosAntonio_xQwkPGXOfe

ahahahahahah I’m experiencing the same issue. I’m in the Android 17 nothingOS 5.0 Beta program and it’s asking me for a SUPPOSED update to nothingOS 4.1

Nothing OS 5.0 is decent, but it has quite a few shortcomings; for instance, the ‘glass effect’ is missing from the notification panel and app icons—these issues need to be addressed.
