Guys. You’ve got 3 phones out - total. And the phone 2 is supposedly your flagship. And, instead of that one getting the OS, you roll it out first to your cheapest? Seriously?
📱 Phone (2a) - Nothing OS 2.5.3 Changelog
- (Edited)
Will this come to Phone 2? I’m waiting for that update, I would love to have the new battery and calendar widgets and I would like to try the wallpaper A.I. Is there any news on when this will arrive on the Phone 2?
this update will be on nothing Phone 1?
- (Edited)
_es_nYmNl45Ncd since some of the updates are related to new device, like the bew glyph to work well, as well as we can call ot “day 1” updates, its more then understandable for this to be on 2a first.
None of these tech companies do these kind of community stuff and should appreciate these community update and not be an a hole about it, just because you bought a phone… how come you have skipped the appreciation part and went straight into being an entitled “how dare you not be thinking about me” person?
May I ask when we phone2 can get such such an important version update?
What about nothing Phone 2 update?
I need update but without any bugs so take some time and give the perfect update for my nothing phone 2 @changename.

Deividas_erniauskas I strongly disagree. We are not talking about releasing a “day one patch” that fixing some bugs in a new product. The point is that a number of new features are not primarily given to the flagship model. Yes, many manufacturers, when releasing a new flagship, prioritize installing a newer OS version on it, making some new cool features available only for new one. But doing so when releasing the cheapest phone in the line is at least strange and disappointing (IMHO)

Deividas_erniauskas exactly.. most of these people inside this forum is borderline annoying and yapping everyday. Imagine not fixing the problems of the Phone 2a that just got released and focusing on a stable phone(2) that is out there for a long time. Most of these people yapping don’t know anything about how a company runs and what to prioritise.
Phone 2 is functioning perfectly fine. Phone 2a is a new phone. Anybody with a brain in their head wouldn’t neglect the phone you just released. So updates went to phone 2a. So what ?… Did you lose 50% of your life just because new update went to a newly released phone. I’m a phone 2 owner.. I’m not frustrated just because newer update went to newly released phone. Have some patience in life goddamn it. As an Indian myself.. I myself can tell you that.. most of the people yapping here are Indians and it’s embarassing, cringe and annoying. Most of the people here are so goddamn jobless, one update dictates their entire life. HAVE SOME PATIENCE IN LIFE. YOU WON’T EXIST JUST BECAUSE YOU DIDN’T GET AN UPDATE. THANK YOU. If you don’t like nothing phone 2 or whatever Nothing Phone you have.. go buy some other brand’s bloatware OS which promotes ads at your face 10 times a day. Nobody is stopping you from switching phones.

Those who complains about phone (2) not getting the priority over phone (2a)…. You don’t deserve what Nothing have brought to you. It’s such a shame for Nothing to have you as a consumers nor fans.
hexagonal707x womp womp
Tell that to Samsung or Pixel that either releases the update first on top end device or both at the same time even if the Flagship phone is years older than latest device.

MayankSingh_mFF9znREeC well womp womp. Samsung and Google have been here for so long and 10x more workers. Don’t compare a startup to big giants. If you don’t like the phone, change your phone.. no one is stopping you.
hexagonal707x Already compromised support years of the phone for it being a startup, now you wanna compromise the updates in the support time? Nah I know worth of my money which I earned.
Even OnePlus when starting up had same roll out strategy as Samsung.
The one thing i hate about this brand..Is they just focus on their latest phone..And treat even their flagship customers like bs..Like Your flagship should also get this Update before or atleast at the same time as your mid-range phone..
Phone n everything is cool but rolling out update is very slow…nothing should rolled out updates as per particular time like end of the month atleast our security patch is January and here we are in march it dosent fit

Dear Nothing team,
Please take into consideration doubling or tripling the effort to keep your devices up-to-date in terms of at least security updates.
We as fans know that you are doing your best, but when the big competition can update their flagship devices regularly (S24 series has recently got March security patch on March 1st!) it looks like even though you have only three phones released you don’t really have it worked out in which order to release updates.
Releasing new features for the newest (but the cheapest device) looks bad and your flagship owners are understandably mad (and January security patch in the middle of March for NP2 is a not-so funny joke).
Especially after Nothing Chats fiasco, you should be on your toes to prove to people that you care about the security of your OS.
If that continues to be the case, me and many others who have switched from iOS or Google/Samsung will ditch you and choose more secure competition.

MayankSingh_mFF9znREeC Then go ahead and buy yourself a Pixel or Samsung who is stopping you from purchasing them? why buy a Nothing phone then

sw000nda totally agree with you. Paying almost the double price and still no update and February security patch in mid-march. hexagonal707 u know how difficult it is to sell and purchase a new device? This is sad reality that we especially phone 2 user paid almost double the money.

hexagonal707x That insulting remark about Indians is completely uncalled for.
Plz try to be courteous.
It’s just a simple solutions. Don’t name updates for new phone or minor with fixing bugs as a another 2.5.3, but 2.5.2.1 or 2.5.2a
