Some data about its upcoming new products from Qualcomm. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chipset, codenamed SM8475, is expected to be based on TSMC’s 4nm architecture. It is expected to include an ARM Cortext-X2 Prime core and could offer a 10% improvement in CPU performance and a minor GPU improvement over its predecessor. In addition, better thermal performance is also expected.

As for the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, it is expected to be an octa-core processor and an affordable option to the SD 8 Gen 1 or 8 Gen 1+. It will feature four ARM Cortex-A710 cores clocked at 2.36GHz and four ARM Cortex-A510 cores clocked at 1.8GHz, according to leaks. The 7 Gen 1 SoC is expected to have an integrated Adreno 662 GPU. It will most likely succeed last year’s Snapdragon 778G+ chipset.

What do you expect as a chipset for the Phone (1) with the data revealed just above ?

I am going to stick to my early expectations with Nothing Phone(1) which was touted as an Worthy Apple Alternative which invariably means top tier SoC i.e Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+. We won’t be seeing the X70 5G Modem in 8 Gen 1+(Which I think would be a breakthrough in 5G Modem History) and that makes me sad.

Sib64 Wondering if they would go Mediatek way and increase the clock frequency of the A710s and increase the L3 cache to 8MB to match D9000.
