Phone (2a) considerable warmer hue

Is it only for my unit or does the screen have a considerable warmer hue? I have used oled displays earlier but never seen something like this…I tried to change the settings & maxed it to ‘cool’ but still the white doesn’t look true to its colour. Is this normal for nothing phones or should I ask for a replacement?

Same here black is not proper black and white is not proper white.

I have noticed this too. It seems to vary with viewing angle. I did think it might have had something to do with adaptive brightness but I’ not so convinced of that now, perhaps it is related to the ambient light conditions.

Later: I tried setting colour to Standard (from Alive) and also set it halfway to cool and it seemed better. I now think perhaps some apps use an off-white colour in the dark theme and perhaps also a dark grey more than some others. But mostly I don’t mind much when it’s just text I’m looking at - as long as I can read it!

Same here, just got my device on 15 th March. Instantly I was able to find out about the warm hue upon using the device. White is not pure white, blacks are good while watching content but the menu throws a different colour. Please could someone let me know what is the exact colour tone of the menu interface in nothing OS. I’m completely new to the nothing thing, It would be great if anyone could help us about this issue. Is this colour tone something normal or my device is having any issue.

As David mentioned I too am using the phone by keeping display settings to Alive & halfway to cool, & some changes in wallpaper settings. Although the system apps looks a bit better, some of the other apps (chrome,whatsapp) still have the warmer tone.

There is a problem in adapting the cool temperature hue for the lock screen. It adapts the setting template where it is fully warm/cool on other screens, but on the locked screen it takes the middle value of both hues.

yellow tint on the lockscreen all over the display, kind of like warm color temperature, it goes away after unlocking the phone, anyone else having the same problem? Please give me a solution 🙏🏼 😭

YeswanthMettapalli yes on my phone 2. It goes away when display temperature is set to 0. I have raised this issue in their feedback

So if you put on a red wallpaper the display will show very red or warm hue. It affects apps like chrome and it looks very very off.

Compare with an iPhone and you can instantly tell an iPhone shows a proper white and proper black without any display issues.

Like what are these Nothing developers and software QC peeps doing? I am not the first one to point this and this needs to be fixed.

I’ve read some of the posts of Nothing community and I feel very weary and annoyed with the Nothing Team not pulling up their slacks.

Like why is the community building the software for you? it is YOUR JOB. We’ve paid.

Same here kinda annoyed of this warmer hue…Common guys from Nothing try fixing the issue or issue a recall if this really cant be fixed with software update.
