Krrr Most people don’t know that a community forum (not just this one, every community forum) is mostly a place “by users>for users”. No one from the developers or the ones that have anything to do with updates monitor forums like this The official staff we have here are community staff>also nothing to do with updates. And lastly, the moderators are just users like us, who don’t work for the companies.

Krrr Our former Community Board Observer @Louis ☕️ was the best for his invaluable dedication and insightful contributions during his tenure..

His commitment to fostering transparency and advocating for community interests has truly made a difference last year…e.g. (NP1 & OTHER ACCESSORIES)
Now I regret my decision for not voting for him. 💔
Best wishes to him as he is an insider in nothing team & more.

Do not install software written to other phones than the one you have.

    Like next year?

    Sickchild72

    Or year?

RajeevKumar_vNXavrqAJ7 Update will come for sure

Before or after we have bought new phones?

Anonymous38 As a nothing fanboy I expect the update to be pushed within a week or so

A week has passed. How about a year or so?

Pranshu I am guessing they are working on NOS 3.0 as Android 15 is around the corner

October or December is around the corner, just like next year is.

SrsThewrongguy Oh, how I wish that were true. That would make coming online on community forums without having to go through the “where’s my update” brigade much more pleasant.

SrsThewrongguy Oh yes, that is something I fully agree with. That’s what made me leave OnePlus, their inability (or stubborn reluctance rather) to communicate with their user base, a user base they claim to care very much about (I see a similarity with that claim here with Nothing as well). But i’d use a different approach for that. Make a detailed thread about the lack of communication, with proper examples of something they should have communicated about, but didn’t etc. That’s what I and some others did on OnePlus’ forum. Mostly in vain, but we did managed to get some things done that way.

SrsThewrongguy Indeed… First time using Nothing, and I really like the OS, so I would hate to be forced to leave because of the exact same reason I decided to leave OnePlus behind. I’m not to worried about updates, 2a is getting the honeymoon treatment all newly launched phones get, but it’ll fall under the normal update frequency in a while too.

I think nothing team mentioned that there will feature updates(new features) every 3 months, so they might roll out a new update for NP2 next month with new features 👀, Last feature update I think was released in Dec I guess.

What do you expect in nothing new Feature updates?

I hope they bring perplexity update to NP2 as well 😅

So it is the last day of march, today bimonthly period will be over.

Aditya Well I see the NP2 as the black sheep of the family in the future, much like so the OnePlus 2 was…

User_sAXQvzkCC6 I don’t know how they marketed it, but it’s best not to fall for the hype, especially if Carl is doing the hyping, he’s a master at it, but that’s about all. But I genuinely wanted to know whether previous updates were delayed as well. 2 or 3 delayed updates can happen, any company has had that, but 4 - 5 or more can be a pattern, and not a good one…

Stringfellow_hawke Delayed updates are not a problem. I have been using vivo before. They will not promote the updates, but there will be personnel to respond when the updates are delayed. I can easily contact them, but Nothing, I asked on Twitter earlier, They were severely warned, remember it was a warning and not a reply, so that now they have stopped replying at all, both in the community and on social media. This kind of service attitude is not worthy of a larger user group.

User_sAXQvzkCC6 Hmm, I didn’t know that, thanks for the clarification. Yes, delayed updates don’t bother me either, I have been a OnePlus user and EU based at that, which makes for one long waiting game for every update. But I could live with that perfectly fine, it was the lack of communication that drove me away. And reading all this, it doesn’t seem to be any better here… That kind of behaviour from them is indeed bad, and is of course a no-go for any company really.
