First, as I have seen noted elsewhere the 2a is not the most comfortable in the hand. You should budget for a cover, makes it better to hold, and stop the phone’s desire to slide off anywhere you put it down on. Unfortunately, the cover will hide the aesthetics of the back of the (black) phone which is a shame.
Second, I find the placing of the buttons is not great - I find myself accidently press the volume buttons when I am try to use the power button. And vice versa.
Coming from a phone with Android 11 it was quite a chore getting the 2a set up as I would like. I guess I’m not a typical user and I’m fussy about doing that. For a while I really wasn’t enjoying the phone at all. I do think it would be worth Nothing providing more information of how to do various things - for me it included taming the power button to not do things I didn’t want, working out how I could add my own ringtone (Nothing’s all seemed rather aggressive for me), and how to turn off mobile data, and turning the phone off. I found myself finding things out by accident while trying to do other things, or reading articles from various places, often about different models. It would have helped a lot if there was more in one place on the Nothing website - I kept coming here in vain a number of times.
It took a while but I’m beginning to like the phone - I’m a light user so I can’t say anything much about performance yet.
I must add that I collected my phone from the London store and they were very nice and helpful!
