Nothing OS Wishlist (2024)

I hope that the text on AOD (Always On Display) can not only display time, date, and weather but also achieve the same feature as Pixel, showing upcoming events and intelligent reminders. That would be great!

What i would like to see are independent phone books on the device, for each sim card for contacts. Sim1, Device > Contacts & Sim2, Device > Contacts.

Maybe if Nothing build their own Dialer app, Contact app or Phone app this could be built into it?

Second thing I was thinking was the ability to set the Call Background wallpaper or video to show when you receive or make a call. Also Caller Information the ability to hide or show contacts number so you can just have your contact Name and a mini picture of their caller ID on calls. I think Samsung has these future’s.

The lock screen clock may have more colour options or at least a black colour should be in it because if the wallpaper is white it’s not as good as it could be

I just wish for ability to have some constant glyph notification for not opened notifications (just for reminder). Then it would be awesome to extend it (select which glyph area you want to assign to specific app, what effect would you like to use for eg: slow “breathing” effect or just fast blink etc.). Maybe we can use here red camera notification LED too?

I recommend the replacement of the Clear All function. As it stands on OS 2.5.1A it’s to long a process to close all running app. I think a better option would be to have it as follows

1)Swipe up from the bottom of screen and replace the Screenshot option with Close All (Clear All).

2)Option to lock item’s on the Home screens, to prevent accidental removal etc.

3)Quick access or widget for Volume switching (On, Vibrate, Silent)

4)While I’m at it the option for OTG shortcut.

2. Ability for Nothing Launcher (File Explorer) to view All folders or at least ones you make with pictures or vides inside them when selecting Wallpaper and sort By Name.

DWMA It exists, although not with as many features as you want. You can turn on “essential glyph notifications” for some apps you’d like, and that’ll keep on a led on the back until you read the notification

With the recent rise of AI, what options or features will the Nothing Phone have in the future related to AI? Is Nothing depending on Google fully? Or will they collaborate with Perplexity AI and bake it in the OS perhaps?

Otu I have an older samsung note 10 at the moment (I plan to buy the phone 2) where they solved this problem with a pin code lock option. A solution that seems like a relatively simple development.

There should be a option of auto change wallpaper in nothing wallpaper app such as change wallpaper on unlock, change wallpaper every minute, hours or day.we should have option to rotate the wallpaper.

But still I’d like to have some option to “blink” or “breathe” effect rather than always on led bar (it’ll also be a good for battery life )

I’d love to use the flip to glyph feature, but I’d like to have an option so it just mutes notifications and not calls. It’d be much more customizable and better for my use case
