Dear Nothing Team,
I’m a proud user of the Nothing Phone and appreciate the unique design and experience it brings. However, I believe a few improvements to the app drawer could significantly enhance the user experience, especially for those who enjoy custom organization.
Currently, Nothing OS lacks certain customization options for the app drawer, which are available on many other Android skins (like Samsung One UI, OnePlus, and even on iOS in some ways). I would like to request the following features:
1. Option to Disable the App Drawer: This would allow users to set up all apps directly on the home screen, similar to iOS, without needing to swipe up to access the app drawer. Some users prefer this more streamlined experience, where all their apps are immediately accessible without an additional swipe gesture.
2. More App Drawer Customization Options: In Samsung One UI, for example, the app drawer allows for organizing apps into folders and customizing how apps appear, while still being accessible through a swipe gesture. Having more control over organizing apps, such as creating folders within the app drawer or pinning favorites to the top, would provide a more personalized experience.
If these options are added in future versions of Nothing OS, I think they would greatly enhance the usability and flexibility of the phone, especially for users who value customized home screen experiences. Otherwise, users seeking this flexibility may end up considering alternative devices or third-party launchers.
Thank you for considering these improvements, and I look forward to seeing the innovations i
n Nothing OS 3.0!
