Short introduction
Hello. I’ve been using the Phone 2 for about a year now and I am absolutely loving it. I really love the brand and I feel like Nothing is one of the few, if not the only brand that is innovating the smartphone market right now. There are however some software features that could significantly improve the experience for Nothing users everywhere, and I think Dual Audio is one of those features, and also per-app audio volume control.
What is it?
By Dual Audio I mean the possibility to output the same audio to two different sources (with per-output audio controls), such as two Bluetooth headphones, or one Bluetooth headphone and the internal speaker, etc. To add onto this, per-app volume control would also be amazing, and these features could be neatly integrated together. Seeing as all of the phones released by Nothing have Bluetooth 5+, these features should be possible to integrate into Nothing OS. Below are two images of the feature, as implemented by Samsung. I believe the talented team at Nothing can implement it in a much better way, that could perhaps also have some sort of Glyph integration.
Why add it?
Dual Audio is a very useful feature, that seems to only be present on Samsung devices, which is very disappointing for all Android users. Seeing as Nothing Tech is proud of its innovations and isn’t afraid of a challenge, I think this would be an amazing feature to add in an upcoming Nothing OS update. While it isn’t exactly such a feature that would make users to instantly switch to Nothing devices, this is certainly a feature that could be marketed and could attract many users when they will eventually be looking for a new device, seeing as there seemingly exists only one brand that has it. Think of it as a long-term investment, which would also make many current users extremely happy.
Conclusion
Dual Audio is a great feature that, if added to Nothing OS, could make many current users very happy and maybe even attract new ones. It could also be bundled with another feature, per-app audio volume, which is another long-requested feature. I hope you guys at least take it into consideration, and I really hope to get some feedback from someone from the team, at least saying if it’s feasible or not. Communication is key, and it is how you get users to respect your brand and to feel valued. Thank you for reading and many thanks to the Nothing team! 🖤
