I’m using the device from past 6 days and after 2-3 days of usage I noticed tiny dust particles inside the ultra wide camera lens.

These dust particles are increasing day by day and sometimes I get warning “Dust detected on camera lens ” after opening camera app.

Do anyone else facing the same issue with Phone 2a?

Apart from this no other complaints and I’m really enjoying using Nothing OS

ShivamAgiwal Can you please share a screenshot of the error and a photo of the lens? Sounds like you should contact support - link - for further assistance.

Same issue I can see some tiny dust particles inside ultrawide lens camera

ShivamAgiwal When you open the camera app, do you see the dust? If so, please reach out to support using this link so that they can assist you.

@Daniel I connected with Nothing Support team and they asked me to visit nearest service centre. As service is located in another city ,I can’t go there right away so talked with service centre guys over call. They told me that lens would be cleaned after opening back panel and would be reassembled. And will diagnose device further once I visit service centre.

Meanwhile I get to know from past users who faced the same problem that after service centre repair /cleaning their device started getting dust in back panel also which not the case earlier and after sometime of usage dust again started accumulating inside camera lens. Also, some user’s device got scratched in the process.

So, I’m concerned about quality of repair/cleaning and it might ruin the original design & feel of the product or might lead to other issues.

And, what I think is it’s a quality control issue from Nothing. Although it’s IPA 54 rated, still dust is getting inside in just 2- 3 days of usage. It seems like this part was not taken care of during assembly of device and it appears to be a manufacturing defect.

I switched from Google Pixel 3a to Nothing Phone 2a and had used many reputed brands like Samsung, Vivo & Motorola devices in past, but never faced this type of issue even with their lower budget devices.

In my opinion Nothing should provide replacements in such cases where dust is accumulating when device is under 7 day replacement period.

Obviously there is a quality issue. Most important would be them to assure they clean AND take action on the root cause. Wouldn’t make sense otherwise, to remove the dirt and not repair the obviously existing leak…

As for your return wish, that depends on your local consumer protection legislation. I don’t think it’s practical for any manufacturer to keep sending out new phones for something like this.

I also see some dust particles inside my nothing phone 2a camera lens. Its ip54 so its impossible to enter dust in lens so how can the particles enters?? Is there any solution for this?

Bro like I was cleaning my phone 2a and saw particles (dust) through transparent back like the above charging port side like above that curved design and inside the phone! How to remove that, I don’t have any nothing service centre near me or like far away is also not available!

Any of y’all receive a replacement? I finally placed my order, fresh out from box and already has dust inside the back panel, including a tiny piece of hair-like dust. It’s absurd.
