This is my concept for a redesigned Phone (2a), which I nicknamed the phone ^{2s} because of the small ~6 inch screen
For this concept I went with a simple flat frame with slightly beveled edges to make it more compfortable to hold.
The camera is a dual camera setup which is housed in a camera plateau mirroring the frame design
I’d imagine the frame to be metal and the back made out of slightly dark tinted plastic (maybe making it easily removable either in the classic way or with screws and a rubber seal to help with water resistence).
With the rear design I tried to incorporate the internal layout of the phone with the rear being split into 4 main sections: Cameras; Mainboard; Battery and Daughterboard. The basic idea with this setup would be to incorporate repairibility with a modular design.
The glyphs have been added in the form of 4 lines mirroring the more angular design of the phone.
I’d also incorporate the fingerprint sensor into the side of the device.
