Hi everyone, I’m new to Nothing Phone. Originally, I used a product from another company, but it’s been a long time, and Nothing caught my eye, so I bought Nothing Phone 2a.

First, I am using this device in Korea, and the carrier is using SKT.

The problem I’m facing is that if I turn on the VoLTE option in my settings, answering the phone is normal, but making a call is not possible. I can’t start the call itself with a voice saying ‘No number’ instead of a phone call. When I turn off the VoLTE option, I can make a call normally.

MMS or the Internet is working normally and the problem only occurs when making phone calls using VoLTE.

According to SKT policy, I have registered OMD devices and set up APN, but the problem is not solved.

When I asked the carrier, they tested the communication line through the carrier’s own technical support team, and they answered, ‘As a result of the analysis, the terminal raised a signal that did not meet the standard and I could not find the incoming terminal.’ I inquired to the Nothing service center in Korea and am waiting for an answer.

My os version is 2.5.4 and I’m only using 1 SIM and I’m mounting it in slot 1.

Is anyone else experiencing or fixing these issues?

    StrvphaZuk Hey,

you might should contact the nothing team directly via Settings, select System, and then choose Feedback.

This is the best way to ensure that your comments and observations are directly relayed to the appropriate teams.

Kastello changed the title to Phone 2a - SKT VoLTE calls not possible .

Kastello Thank you for your answer.
I have contacted the Nothing Support Center and the Nothing Regional Service Center in Korea and I am waiting for your reply. Thank you for your interest

Pepsibear Hey buddy I found a temporary solution.
If you enter the country code in front of the phone number and make a phone call, it becomes a phone call. Example) +82 10-1234-5678 It seems to me that this is a software problem.

I have a similar problem in Serbia on A1, I can’t use VoLTE even though my provider tells me it’s on. The option I have is just “4G Calling” but my 2a just uses regular 3G calling. It’s pretty annoying since there is no info about this at all, and none of the advice works (disabling, rebooting, switching around from 3G to 5G).

ObradKostadinovic Im having the same problem. I have my sim and I have my VoLTE on but there is no indicator in status bar. and its not working either when I call it switches to 3g. did you find any solution?

Michael2000m hey, so far the only thing that works is disabling 4g calling, or I guess VoLTE. My suspicion is that the phone keeps trying to register IMS (no idea what it is, but it explains the drain I guess. You can check by entering the 4636 code in the dialer, then going to phone status, and in the upper right dot menu checking IMS service status. This is the star hash code, I can’t figure out the formatting here, google will help.

Best part is we can’t know if this is nothing or our providers who fucked up, transparent business is really not fashionable.

Hope this solves the drain issue, the only solution I can try here is another provider, that or an update. Or your provider might decide to help.

            Good luck!

same issue with cmf phone 1, I can’t enable VoLTE no matter what

            carrier that i’m using: irancell

In Serbia it works as long as you don’t use A1. They are still gaslighting me, and VoLTE works on Yettel and MTS with no issues at all. I’ll switch to Yettel in a couple of days and report here.
