I just bought 2a several days ago and yes the battery drained too fast. I managed to get maximum 6-7 hours of SOT with VERY minimal setting turned on. I didn’t turn on mobile data, location, bluetooth etc. unless needed. Still, the battery drop 2-3% within an hour in idle mode, that was terrible. I bought this phone bc I read it has exceptional battery life but I’m disappointed

I will check my idle battery drain with wi-fi, bluetooth smartwatch connected, no mobile data and just receving notifications. More than 60 minutes and during the night. Even if the battery drain is about 5% during the night it seems pretty high

spellsaif same for me used 33 watt charger to charge the phone by Xiaomi with original cable in switch off condition but took 3 odd hours to charge the same

I purchased nothing phone despite everybody from my clan wanted me to shop one plus ce4 but I did shop nothing on 11th May then used it bit camera really needs improvement not just an update but serious upgrade 😔 as it doesn’t look like 50mp cam images,other things is battery charging and battery drain issues.As it is Android then should charge with any fast charging adaptor but for my surprise it doesn’t as I used Xiaomi 33 watt charger it took 3 hours to charge in switch off condition.Moreover there is some glitches here there specially while playing bgmi there is still need of improvement.I love Carl and his work about gadgets I am a more of custom rom guy ,but as I saw videos of software aka nothing os I was impressed so wanted to try it for myself using nothing 2a as my primary phone want to see my decision paid not regret after going with nothing and had nothing last but not the least from the time I used the community app on chrome my phone already dropped to 96% from 100% as I know it is not good 😊

Please if someone really dig in community regularly from nothing team 😞 look in to the matter and take necessary steps as we believe in you and push some serious updates to fix things up and building trust in community

Abput the charger, Xiaomi does not use standard charging protocol on their charging brick
It’s recommended to look over alternative charger like the Nothing Power (45w) or CMF Power GaN 65w
You can also find other charger over other website but you should make sure they support Power delivery to work with your Phone (2a) at max power.

After updating nothing phone 2a I am facing battery drain issue SOT 4 hr only and very slow charging..

I’ve tweeted this and Nothing Support asked me to message them privately but they still haven’t gotten back after three days. My Phone 2(a) is mostly on standby for like 70% of the day, on WiFi most of the day, no games, minor video streaming, yet this is the SOT I get. Barely half the SOT of my previous NP2

Here’s my latest SOT test. I’ve put a lot of my apps on Restricted and turned off AOD. My brightness is also on 60-70% max. Some people are suggesting switching to 60hz display, turning off all background refresh, and some even suggesting turning off internet access to most of my apps. I feel like these might bring some change to my battery stats but if I need to take away around 60% of my phone’s basic functions and features to at least get a proper battery backup, what’s the point?

inparadoxwetrust Exactly. SOT doesn’t mean going overboard with locking down all the phone features. Resident fanbois on these community pages behave rudely when when phone owners complain about battery efficiency. It is what it is and this phone is very mid when it comes to battery life. Some update ruined it for me. I’d have opted for the Edge 50 Pro for its camera had it been launched a bit earlier. Oh well.

I bought a new nothing 2a phone but it’s battery is draining so fast can any one tell solution for this!

HariRaj_4C0X1Qbn3J There’s no solution as of now since it is a software optimization related issue and it cannot be fixed by changing phone settings. We’ll have to wait for the next update hoping it addresses this problem.
