The bugs were really fixed but rhe 4.a update is causing a little warming and there’s definitely a drop in the battery life of the phone now, is there a fix?

    I wanted to make this post to share my experience with the Phone 2a since the latest update.

    Better:

    • Overall performance and smoothness has been improved. When I first got the device it was super laggy and stuttery. It could still use a little more refinement but overall a much better experience.
    • Camera app seems to open a little faster now.
    • Battery life has been great, I’m ending my day with about 50% and around 5 hours SOT all while on cellular here in the US.
    • Charging seems faster to me because I think the phone was having compatibility issues with my charger which looks to have been fixed in the update.

    Could use improvement:

    • The phone still stutters and lags from time to time so a little more optimization could probably fix this.
    • Portrait mode in the camera falls behind when it comes to edge detection. It really struggles when trying to figure out what to blur out and what not to.
    • Photo processing speed is on the slower side
    • Fingerprint reader is also a little hit or miss at times

    Overall I am loving this phone, especially for the price point. I have confidence this phone is only going to get better with more updates and can’t wait to see the Nothing team continue to improve this device!

    There are still problems with charging the phone. I have the original Nothing 45 Charger with the original Nothing cable. But the phone charges with a maximum of 15 watts, after I plugged the cable into the phone again it is a maximum of 32 watts. No matter which charger or cable, I have never reached 45 watts

      The phone is taking almost 2 hours to charge with the CMF 65W charger and original c type cabe. Also the battery back has been reduced drastically after the latest update . Th idle drain is also increased.

      Please fix these lens flare in ultrawide camera. Its very irritating if you have streaks of light all across your picture. Also, after 2.5.4.a , I can see that the primary camera has fixed this to a great extent but still there sometimes.

      Even lower budget smartphones does not have such lens flare issues.

      Also, the Ultrawide despite being 50Mp lacks details a lot. A simple 1 tap zoom is making pictures blurry with lots of noise.

      And what’s with this over exposure of portrait photos? Portraits should be detailed with natural color and the over exposure should be an additional filter option for people with that kind of taste .But please keep the skin tone natural. Not everyone wants an artificial foundation over their face.

      One more strange thing in primary camera is the sudden over exposure of the entire picture when face is detected.

      As for the primary camera, its very inconsistent. Sometimes it clicks great photos and sometimes it`s blurry with a lot of noise.

      The camera department in all Nothing phones definitely need an UPGRADE with special focus on controlling light source and brightly lit backgrounds.

      I am ok with long processing time if the post processing end result is good.

      Hello, I have purchased nothing phone 2A on 12th March sale. Before the first Update came. 5G and 5G+ was working superb, but after installing the latest update 5G stopped workin. Only 4G or 4G+ is working. Kindly help me out as I have done several settings change, Sim card change. nothing works. I need my 5G to be working again

      I had the weather widget activated in my lock screen, but noticed that it never updated the temperature. In order to update the temperature shown in the lockscreen you thus need to (1) unlock, (2) open the weather up, (3) update (pull down), (4) close app, (5) lock.

      Which is absurd, because then the lock screen widget is absolutely useless.

      For now I have deactivated it, but I wonder if others have this issue as well, or if there’s something I haven’t set-up correctly.

      (I don’t see any obvious permissions missing or such, but I’ve done quite a jump from Oneplus 6 with Android 8.1 to Nothing 2a with Android 14, so I may be missing stuff).

      Add. I’m not sure why my question was “merged” with this topic, but anyway, can anyone confirm whether the weather widget updates or not in the lock screen?

      suggestions for enhancing security in upcoming updates!

      1.Implementing automatic call recording for all calls

      2.Requiring a password to switch off or restart the phone would definitely add an extra layer of protection. These features would help users keep their data and conversations more secure
