Hi all! my name is Rangga

This is my design for Nothing Phone (2a) Community Edition: Tribute to Dieter Rams.

The ideas is to make a tribute for my design hero, Dieter Rams. One of he most influential Industrial Designer in 20th century. popular as an industrial designer for Braun, Vitsoe, etc.

Dieter Rams design ethos was very clearly codified by himself in “10 principles for good design”:

  1. Good design is innovative

  2. Good design makes a product useful

  3. Good design is aesthetic

  4. Good design makes a product understandable

  5. Good design is unobtrusive

  6. Good design is honest

  7. Good design is long-lasting

  8. Good design is thorough down to the last detail

  9. Good design is environmentally friendly

  10. Good design is as little design as possible

The inspiration for this design is came from the details in products that Dieter Rams created. like the buttons, knob, speaker grill, graphic, color scheme etc.

This is the tribute for his hard work, consistency and attention to details. And also i think his vision for industrial design resonates with Nothing as a brand very well.

    Any possibilities to see what it would render if you make an orange line following the center battery cable ? And this line could start from your arrow that you add ? Just an idea, I don’t know if it’ll look good

            Love this concept! you really honed in on the details with this. I’m curious to know what is the material of the frame on the side?

              saadjamal actually not change. but i think would be nice if the frame from fabric like alcantara or something like that
