I’ve tested HDR on and off multiple times now and I dont see any obvious visual differences which makes me think that turning HDR off doesn’t actually make any difference to the algorithm processing of the camera.
(Rather it might be for the viewing HDR content where it increases screen brightness)
All my photos tend to look bright and vibrant (esp brightening people within the scene) which I appreciate /sometimes/ but I still would love it to behave like a regular DSLR camera where it doesn’t add extra ai-like processing such as HDR processing, etc.
Or at least I hope that the devs can give access 3rd party camera apps (such as Open Camera) to the ultra wide camera because that’s one limiting factor right now.
