The stockx dislaimer states:

Disclaimer: Nothing phone (1) is not fully supported in North America. Functionality may be impacted depending on your carrier, coverage, speed and/or reliability; or it may not function at all. Purchase is not available for customers living in Mexico and South Korea. For a full Nothing phone (1) carrier list, please see the country and carrier list at: www.stockx.com/lp/nothing/

I’m hoping this is just legal jargon for we can’t guarantee support for every carrier and band out there, and not anything major. Interestingly, while the StockX page lists carrier support for a vast number of countries, the US seems to be excluded from the list (as of now).

Vinayak in the Netherlands the Phone(1) isn’t compatible on T-Mobiles network? Can’t believe that tbh.

Update: nevermind above comment. Guess DT is standing for Deutsche Telecom. What T-Mobile is 😅

I’m also very curious about this seeing that I have a pretty high bid and want to win. But also would be horrible to have a winning bid and not have a working phone and only be able to use it on wifi..

I hate to ping anyone but @Rudi @Carl any insight on how the StockX devices will work in the US? Hopefully with T-mobile or GSM unlocked.

peterrafael Yeah I just read a few articles on it… this is very sad. Looks like I’ll have to pull my bid from StockX cause I for sure would have been one of the winning bids.. but I’ll need Phone 1 to work on t-mobile.

Welp here’s to the count down to July 12th.

Isn’t the dictatorship of US carriers a thing too? Like I saw them phasing out 3G and there are ample phones that support 4G VoLTE but these carriers won’t enable VoLTE for them, instead let them be redundant. So, unless a carrier approves these devices, they won’t work nicely and I think getting approvals from US carriers is not an easy task, which is why most of the phone brands avoid the US market.

Tbh the US is really poorly regulated with their mobile networks and all the exclusive networks and carrier deals
It’s also really common to get carrier locked phones in the US
Americans will probably be able to import the phone and get it to work, but with American carriers there’s no telling whether they’ll accept the phone (1) with one of their SIMs

    19 days later

So the US page listed the phone, so we will supposed be able to buy it?

Ismael Probably will be able to buy soon but no word on official support.
