They don’t even care about the improvements we were spamming from the first day itself. I can confirm that in terms of improvements via updates NOTHING PHONE (2a) >> NOTHING PHONE (1) > NOTHING PHONE (2).

we wanted update so badly so they released the update yesterday but if we want full update with satisfaction then we have to wait for another 2 months.

      people in the Nothing forum : “no update crying, phone (2) is a scam”
      Also people in the Nothing forum when an update comes : “it’s not an update crying, phone(2) is a scam”

        I think people don’t understand that an update most of the time doesn’t bring features. But is just fixing bugs, updating security patches and optimize the firmware.

        So I suggest people to look at to some regular updates from other companies 😉 you’ll see that there is less thing written in their changelog.

          How to remove it to get the 2.5.3 update?

              I’ve been dealing with problems for the past two months. When my phone is locked, I try to double-tap or wake it, but the screen doesn’t turn on. I always press the power button. I know tap wake and life to wake are enabled.

               

              I got a 2.5.3 update. I updated, still have the have the same issue.

              Whatsapp voice message sound is also not coming; voice message is running, and I can’t go back. Once voice massage finishes, only my touch is working.

              Not only above, I have many issues. nothing phone 2 😔😔😔😔😔😔

                With this update animations have become smoother and heating during heavy games have seen a little improvement. That is my first impression though.

                  The update itself is less of a problem than lack of proper communication.I am patient enough to wait for new update but i would like to be informed when to await it.

                  Seems like the Nothing team is either very busy to give a big stable update for NP2 so they gave a security patch for now or just focusing on NP2a right now. While everyone is pissed off that this update is a joke, it takes a lot of time to stabilize and optimize features for a device. Since most of the team is working on 2a and a handful on (2), I can understand the pressure on those developers. While I also expect a finished and polished update very soon, I would also not like to force developers work overtime and blow their brains out for God sake just calm down people!

                  I won’t care anyways if a major update drops cause I have rooted 2.0.4 and the battery life is off the charts right now! Yeah it lacks feature from the A14 updates but it’s more reliable and won’t take a toll on my battery for a long time.

                  Edit: I want the 90fps cause it’s really effective in close range BGMI matches! The latency sometimes helps in the close call combating! 90fps stays smooth even if it fluctuates while 60fps tends to drop more and stutter!

                  I really hope they add that in the next update!

                  After the 2.5.3 update, i have noticed that the HDR is acting weird in YouTube, video becomes dim in full screen mode, and when i increase the video quality above 1080p the video become laggy and jittery
its very disappointing that after taking so much time to give us update then facing this kind of issue in a flagship phone, even my 15k budget phone does better than this lol!

                  Pranshu Ikr, but for now what I did was download an app named “Quick Settings” from the play store. It has settings you can add to quick settings panel, hence it can also be added to the widgets and there’s an option to switch ring modes.
