I thought the same regarding the side-mounted fingerprint before, but after getting a phone with it I actually liked it more than the ones on the front. It’s really natural, as you are holding the phone that way. I got used to it really fast and I wouldn’t want one under the screen now. And also if I’m not wrong, it’s way more secure than the ones under the screen.
Nothing Phone (1) listed on GsmArena. What do you think?
Nothing
If this is official nothing new apart from design and glyph lights
I don’t think we’ll get the 778G+
Nothing has a partnership with Qualcomm, so I think the phone (1) could very well be the first phone to ship with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1
Also, I would think they would go for a 1440p screen instead of 1080p, although the difference isn’t that big
I believe there is three models of phone 1
I for one , am okay with SD 778 G+. It will handle almost all use cases of a smartphone well and efficiently. Battery life will benefit. Only thing one might miss is 4K60FPS Video Recording. But i am okay with 4K30 Too.
If the inclusion of this older processor means better pricing and better battery life, I am all for it.
Most of these are leaks, and the rest, is pure speculation. And GSMArena is very very bad at speculations, since they sometimes don’t know what they’re talking about. For exemple for the Bluetooth they write 5.3, when the SD778G+ only supports 5.2.
peterrafael yeah i hope the higher end has good processor
Each model with three different processor will be nice choice
I’m not interested in top notch specs, but I hope something more than 778G.
Also, hope for a 12GB/256Gb version.
Apart from that, I don’t really care about selfie cam, fingerprint sensor placement, or stuff like that.

singhnsk yes i believe they might …to standout from the competitionand also they cant let go the standards after relieving that they compete to take on apple with just bad processor ….that will make let down to the whole consumer mind …so i believe they have variations of processor in each price model with different models rather than just variations in ram and storage capacity with one processor
peterrafael Those Specs are just educated guesses from their part.
Fast Connect 6700 Module in the Snapdragon 778G+ supports BT 5.2, but GSMARENA mentioned BT 5.3 which is untrue in case the Phone(1) is powered by 778G+.
sean (1) Macro Feature can be implemented in the Ultrawide Angle Lens if the Ultrawide Angle Sensor has Auto Focus. I think the team is smart enough to do that. Lets see on 12th July.
Think the front facing camera will have 12MP at the very least.
Rob 4K 60FPS can be implemented by OEMs (I Suppose using Frame Interpolation) even if the SoC (ISP) doesn’t natively supports it. Just see OG Nord supports 4K 60FPS in the front camera even though SD 765G doesn’t have native support for 4K in the front camera let alone 4K 60 FPS.
Seen a video with an underscreen fingerprint reader, looks quick, hope it’s real.
