Screen burn-in - Phone (2a)

I was really happy with the Nothing Phone 2a and have been telling everyone around me how great this phone is. Sadly, I just found out that there is a screen burn at the top left corner of the screen where the AOD clock sits. The burn-in mark shows 11:2X, so I guess it happened in less than 10 minutes. I don't know what caused it or if it's the screen hardware issue. I am unhappy this happened to my phone, and I've never seen this issue before from any of my other previous phones. hrry please, just stop suggesting that, all we got from the support was “ visit service center” and Guess what they tell you at center ? : “its normal behavior for oled” “can change screen for you” processed to change screen, issue still there who would’ve thought right?

When your gonna learn? Its already too late for the brand to accept they messed up with 2A display choice, you guys already lost the first impression game.. and your just making it worse for yourselves by staying silent about 2A display issues..

hrry no offense to the team but y’all don’t know how unhelpful nothing support is. Most of my experience with support was not great, and they dismiss your genuine complaints as “normal behaviour”. Fix your support first

hrry hmm that’s done me no good at all. Your Instagram account is sidestepping the issue to be just a technical nature of oled and not addressing the issue which gives it away - you guys messed up making sure the quality of the oled lives up to the hype. For days it’s given me excitement picking the 2a over my 14 pro because it’s refreshing. Now that spark is gone, nothing amounts to nothing really when it comes to commitment. I’m giving it to you, you guys really rock the promotion. But it’s all that. No phone is perfect, but the dismal support and lack thereof paints your promotion so bad to me now. My friends are asking what phone I’m using, I say Nothing. Literally ignore this, worst display ever on a phone. Got Nothing in it but excuses, don’t settle for less.

I got exact same issue, and guess what didn’t found any solution. It’s just some unknown guys comes and replies it’s not a problem it’s just a QLED thing.

Njx30 I am using my nothing phone 2a about a year. Whenever there is pitch black in the screen for example in videos or image, there is pixelation of black color and its visible that there is something wrong with the screen. Is there anyone else experiencing this??

Njx30 I have been raising this issue with Nothing in Twitter but no solution as of now. They told there is no solution for this as it is a OLED screen issue and it’s common. But this is bad!!

I would say dont worry about it. I had it also when I bought my phone and it dissapeard after a month of use. I guss it just needed a time to settle

Major issue while low brightness.

I think it’s an hardware issue and not be fixed with software update.

Big blunder of Nothing.

They avoid by saying it’s a nature of OLED.

Njx30 other brands change status bar black to white according to background, but nothing os don’t, that’s likely the cause, burning can happen even in 1 day if display is static with high brightness, nothing should do something about it

I just saw a video regarding this and they were explaining how the top right of the phone displaying battery percentage, wifi etc is still visible in grey screen, and it can’t be more true. I can clearly see them.

It looks more than 2mins to fade.

Lorenzofx I guess this is what the community is really all about, looks like we’re all just beta testers. At least we know better now not to trust a brand called nothing. Zero expectations.

I randomly saw it tiles area and now I can unseen it.i also has screen burn for YouTube video borders and search icon of YouTube shorts,And no mine does not fade .it might become light but not fade
