  • Stage 2 Voting Closed - Community Edition Project

Stage 2 of The Community Edition Project is now open: Wallpaper Design 🖼️

This is your opportunity to create a unique collection of wallpapers which will come pre-installed on the Community Edition phone when it goes on sale later this year. The phone’s hardware will be co-created by Nothing and our stage 1 winners.

Visit nothing.tech to see the full brief and rules for stage 2. The brief will tell you everything you need to know to make a successful submission, and what our panel will be looking out for. Be sure to read this carefully before making an entry.

All valid submissions will be visible in the public gallery once they have been approved.

You can enter all Community Edition stages, but submissions for each stage are limited to 1 per person. Please take your time when making creating an entry, as they cannot be edited afterwards.

      Pity I missed the Hardware stage, but the winning Project is so inspiring! Can’t wait to give it a go this long weekend.

      I have already narrowed down on some ideas and made a nice Miro board. What is the best approach here? Do I make a post and share all of the updates, or is it best to keep it a secret till the voting starts? 😉

      My project was just approved! I’ve worked on it since I saw Kenta & Astrid’s incredible hardware design. I was instantly inspired and began working!

      It’s called Starry Nothing and is a tech-infused reimagining of Van Gogh’s timeless art piece. But it’s really made to fit the hardware of the community edition - and because those lights on the back used to be in my bedroom as stars in the ceiling when I was a kid.

      It’s really just made in Photoshop and drawing atop a whole bunch of shapes and swirls. Several days of coloring, editing and tuning.

          Rob ⚡️ after logging to submit my wallpapers I get 404 page not found. Is it just me?

          Edit: nevermind, there must be some problem with the site, after logging out and logging in again it worked.
