Dear Nothing sweethearts,
Our team at Reveland joined the Community Project with a nature-inspired design for Phone 2a. We’d really appreciate your support, quick for you, big for us ❤
VOTE THE PROJECT
The proposals we’ve developed for Phone 2a features a vibrant color palette inspired by nature, enhancing Nothing’s DNA, where Nature leads and Tech follows. The result is a CMF that enhances technical components with refinement, drawing inspiration from the translucency found across realms of nature: amphibians, plants, mollusks, corals, jellyfishes.
Nature-Inspired Design
Drawing inspiration from nature’s translucent structures found in cellulose and chitin, and comprised largely of water, Nothing infuses the Phone 2a with colored milky plastics, creating an organic, three-dimensional look with soft hues that allow light to penetrate at varying depths.
Bio-Based Materials for Organic Feel
By employing bio-based colors with a milky translucent effect, Nothing brings the Phone 2a closer to nature compared to standard materials used in the tech industry, which are often inspired by other human synthetic artifacts.
Cost-Effective Material Choices
Affordability is prioritized by opting for refined organic finishes with recycled plastic materials for the most accessible Phone 2a model. This maintains quality while controlling costs compared to the metallic materials of the higher-end Phone 2.
Iterative Design Process
Over 55 CMF trials and probably many more for the final versions 🙂
